How I felt about Intro to Graphic Design and Illustration
I feel that I have personally learned quite a bit from this course. I'm glad that assignments such as the public service announcement gave me more practice with designing things for a specific purpose. I also learned some new illustration techniques in photoshop and illustrator, and I got to practice using In-Design, which is something I have very little experience using. I definitely think I've improved in my abilities to use overlapping layers to create an interesting design and I know that I will be using that in future works. I was especially interested in the poster design, and I will be doing some of that on my own time.
Zine Ideas
I think I am going to make a zine that compares and contrasts terrible movies. I will review classic bad movies like Yor: Hunter from the Future, The Room, and Troll 2. I'll also do some illustrations to accompany them. I'll draw all of my illustrations on the computer with a tablet. The style that I want to do looks kind of like spilled ink. The only example that I have is saved on my laptop though, otherwise I would upload an example.
